Damn Rabbits!!

bunker

Lifer
So my uncle made me this really nice 8 ft. long picnic table from cedar.
I start seeing chew marks on the crossbeam that runs underneath it. I look out of the window last night and it's this rather large jack rabbit gnawing away at it.

Any clues as to what I can spray on it to deter the bunnies w/out staining the wood? There is no polyeurethane (sp?) or stain or anything on it, I like it natural so whatever I put on I'd prefer it not stain it.

If I can't find anything, the BB gun is going to be put to use...

My sister had similiar problem with rabbits, they were eating her garden. I would call her and ask her what the exact name of the product she used was, but, she's gone up to her cottage for the weekend.

She bought a spray, it has predator urine in it, the scent drives them away, she said it worked.

Get a good airgun with hunting loads.
Personally, thats why I have a .22LR but either works.

Can't fire my .22 in city limits, hell, I'd just use the 12 ga. if I wanted it over quickly, but that'd damage the table 😉.

I've got a decent air rifle and pellets, it's just hard for me to kill the bunny w/out my daughter noticing 🙂.

If I see the bastard chewing again, I'll take pics.
