Damn porn programs!!!

Ok, I am almost never on this computer so I don't know what is put on here, but my brother will go to just about any website or click any damn pop up that comes around. Anyways, there is this damn Anime Hentai link that keeps popping up everywhere and I have no clue how to get rid of it. I've searched through everything and connot find where the main program is. It is just a link under favorites and under programs on the start menu that says Hentai or Erotic Art or other things. If I just delete the link then the thing pops back up a few days later. Anyone have any clue how to get rid of this or know of any programs that searches for these types of programs? :|

restore from backup.

tell your brother that Big Brother is watching what he surfs and he doesn't like what he finds.

Try Ad-Aware.

I've tried that and it turns up Gator, but no naked cartoon crap.

Unfortunately I have no backup 🙁 and I have mentioned that the computer could use a good reformatting but my dad threw a fit no because he has too much crap on here.

Ok, thanks everyone. I am pretty sure that Spybot took care of it, but it did find 74 nasty little things! :| Some of those include Gator, dialer, a program called Sentry.exe :Q, and IPinsight! AAaagghhh why do people make these things!

Ok, now I am looking in the add/remove programs and there is a thing called Smutropolis!? :Q Should I unistall it through there or do you think that will make the program do something weird and infect the whole f*king computer? I need to play some Civ 3 and relax, this is driving me nuts.

I would attempt to uninstall it. Restart and then run spybot again.

Man, my Dad owns a few rent houses in Smutropolis, really a nice little town. 😀

Wait just one minute, that is name of my SimCity3000 town ... your dad owes me rent! 😀

Check these oout, too, under "Browser Addons". I use POW for popups, and I think it's an excellent program. Perhaps the other two would be helpful for you...
