Makes me realize how much time I waste here...Are the higher statuses supposed to be a reward for posting, or a punishment to have you cut back on it :Q
 
Heh. The "status" or "title" mechanism is simply a way for a web site to encourage more hits and for the message board to receive more posts. This is attractive to advertisers and puts the site in great shape for being sold for ludicrous profit. Not that I hope Anand sells out anytime soon, of course!

But yeah I was kinda bumbed when I realized I just went "gold". Those thousand posts really went by fast! And yep it did remind me of how much time I spend here. 🙂
