I was bored and found a tab called 'display optimizer' in my drivers, so i naively followed the instructions, setting both my CRT colour temps to 6500, adjusting the brightness to what it recommended, and then setting the gamma values using the tool (which gave me a massive headache by the third time i did it :|), it happily told me i was done, and now my screens look like ass :|
Really dark, whites are too yellow, i can barely make out the unreal screenshots someone sent me recently 'cos the screens are so dark, and half my photos look like they were taken just before the sun went down, far too dark...
Suggestions as to how to fix the problems (since i can't remember my previous settings) are welcome folks...i'd say this has cured me of fiddling but i say this everytime i screw something up...and then i just can't help myself next time
EDIT: i tried it three times just to make sure i was following the instructions 100% too...
