This card has impressed me ever since I got it. No problems what so ever..well, newer drivers give me problems but 3286's are great. Very happy with it!
what about the new leaked 8500 drivers @ rage3d.com?
are those fudged up?
im seriously considering getting an 8500 for my college rig in 5 months time...
however if gf3ti500 is cheaper and if nvidia keeps pumpin out those drivers ill have no choice but to hop off the ATI wagon..
which would be a shame cuz i LOOOVE my radeon 64 SE (3.8 ns ram! i luvv!!)
What o/c speed could you get with the card before the ramsinks? I'm getting 295/295 but the ram was giving me errors at 300, thinking of adding something to it.

In five months time the GeForce 4 will be established, and both the Kyro III and R300 will be out. Therefore, prices should be great (and better for the 8500 than the GF3 Ti500). If you want fast RAM, the ATi FireGL 8800 has 3.3ns DDR SGRAM...
im using Win 98 and the new drivers (9012) are great...i use to have some issues in UT (w/ smoothvision and stuff)......all gone now....
cooling this card does help....i could not run above 290 for very long or i would get artifacts.......now i can run 300+ for hours with no problems at all...
Some people have problems, some dont. However, its obvious that the percentage that do have problems is a lot higher than it should be, say compared to that of nvidia's drivers.
