Damn, my Minitek DVD player crapped out on me!!! EDIT: I talked to them

Yes, I know it's a cheapy DVD player that I got for like 50 bux, but guess what? I've only used it like THREE freaking times. Geez. I didn't expect it to last long if I used it frequently, but it died after only a few times. And I bought it like two/three months ago, and Target doesn't sell it anymore....so I don't know if I can get it returned.

Dang it. I guess it's a cheapy Apex for me.

EDIT: Thanx to the link provided by RishiS, I talked to their customer service. I told them exactly what happened, that I'd only used it a few times with Original DVD discs, and explained the problem. She said since I didnt' have my receipt, a copy of my CC bill from three months ago would suffice, and if I just pay Shipping one way to them, they will replace it with a new one. Excellent. Thanx for the help guys.

And out of curiousity RishiS, what did you search for to find that website? Cuz I searched the hell out of google and didn't come up with anything.

Well, I bought the cheapy one cuz it had the feauture of playing .mpg files directly off CD.

Sux, sux, sux. The tray won't even open at all. I had to force it open to get my Fight Club Disc out. (Which it didnt' play.) So even if it worked before that....haha, it doesn't anymore. I had to force that tray.

And the worst part is, I can't find any thing online for that crappy company. Nothing. It's not a big deal, but if they did have some contact information, I would contact them.

hehe I bought mine for $30 at Fry's on sale.

I've used it like once. My Onkyo 5-disc changer handles most of the work.

Link was down for like a min. after I posted it, now it seems to be back up. My friend's Mintek DVD player has been working for about 2 years now.

Yep, link working now and that is the right company. It's spelled wrong in the title.

Here's a site mostly dedicated to Apex players but there are other forums too. Maybe could get some ideas and see if it's an easy fix.
