I'm helping a friend of mine arrange a song he's writing called "Barefoot and Blue Jeans". While comming up with a guitar run, I thought of a lyric:
Painted toes
Shirt too tight
You're going to make me one hell of a night
I sang it to my wife with the riff I came up with to see what she thought. Instead of commenting on if it sounded good or not, she started reading the rest of the lyrics and asked "Who is this song about? It so detailed you must have had someone in mind...and this definately isn't me."
Ughhhh. I didn't write half of the song, and 90% of the time lyrics are just a mish-mosh of past experiences. I wonder if someone like Steven Tyler has to tell his wife that every song he writes is about her. Jealousy crap like this drives me crazy :|
