So got a note on the door saying for 2 days we have to clear out of our apartment building...this is a month after they raised the rent $50 and 2 weeks after a notice saying they are applying to become condos and eventually we will be kicked out.

there are supposedly termites, but if he is going to turn this into a condo next year it would have to be renivated anyways...

Well now we have to leave for 2 days and we get 2 days worth of rent back...yay a whole ~$41!!! sweet!

such a freaking pain...i wouldnt be surprised if the landlord is just doing this stuff so that we will leave and he wont have to pay us to move

Does anyone know if all clothing has to be cleaned after a fumigation and how about plates and all our food, we will be asking the company, but just wondering if anyone here knows

oh yaeh and they say they are not responsible as a company for any theft or vandelism that occurs during this time.

wtf. I have to catalog everything i freaking have and take pictures i guess

You should look up tenent rights for your state reguarding these matters.

I think I read for California the landlords are supposed to provide an alternative dwelling situation (i.e. hotel) for the duration of your removal from your normal dwelling under non-emergency circumstances. Even if they are refunding $41 it does not really cover the cost of a motel.

Just reply with a note saying that you are not responsible for any fires that may occur during your time in the building :p
