Its a Funai VCR. I've got a video/audio cable connected to the back of my TV to the "out" port of the VCR, and its not recording a thign! it only plays back. If I try to record, it gives that scratchy niose and the black and white fuzzy screen. anyone else got an idea?

(1) Could be a bad head on your VCR, or you haven't hooked cables properly (TV Antennta/CATV coax hooked up to VCR?)

(2) Your VCR is telling you it's time to buy a Tivo? 🙂

If i connect it to the "in" plug, it wo'nt show up as anything. Isn't it normal that when yo'ure recording, you press "video" on your remote, and it shows you what you're recording, btw, i'm using Sony TV.

I do'nt got the manuel, i bought it genericly wrapped jackass. I'm not stupid enough to forget thoses steps BITCH. 😉

You "think" you know how to work a VCR but you don't know how to spell?

I might not be important enough to "correct" in your little 8 year old fantasy world but at least I know how to work a VCR. Anyone stupid enough to buy a VCR from the back of a van in a parking lot and doesn't know how to operate a VCR doesn't deserve my sympathy.

The antenna or video source should go into your "in". If you are using coax, the vcr should say "in from antenna". Then run coax from the vcr "out to tv" to the tv in. Your tv will need to be on ch 3 (usually) to see the signal. Do not put the vcr on "video" if you are using coax, only when using RCA cables.

I'm using the "red, yellow, white" cable type. Maybe I do have a POS VCR. 😉
RagingBITCH, you need to calm down :Q

What is your video source?

"In" on your VCR is always from the video source. In this case, you will use the video selection when viewing. If you can watch the source but it does not record, then there is probably something wrong with the VCR.
