Damn immature kids and optical media

It's come to my attention how I've had 3 retail games, several movies, and a half ton of Memorex black CDRs scratched to the point of uselessness.

It's nothing to do with my storage method - all blank media goes on spindle, all others into protective binders.

It's got nothing to do with handling on my end. It all happens when it's loaned out or otherwise carried from one point to another by my brother, or mysteriously when my brother has certain friends over.

My brother is a junior firefighter and often carries out transactions for me (services in exchange for black CDRs, or movie borrowing in exchange for black CDRs). He checks all the CDs received as payment when he first receives them to make sure they at least look usable. However, somehow, between the fire department and home, they get destroyed.

I realized what was going on just now when I looked at my knife-marked desk next to another scratched-to-death Memorex black and guess what - they're OBVIOUSLY intentional knife marks. Junior firefighters get to play with knives.

Talked to my brother about it, he thinks it's possible - and also thinks he knows the little prick that does it. I think I have to go beat up a little dickhead for costing me over $500 in movies and media.

Are you a nerdy mob boss and your brother is your right-hand man doing your "transactions" for you and collecting payment in the form of CDRs?

Yes. You should see me in a suit - I look like I belong in a 1930's gangster flick.
