where is one when you need one to haul things.. should i just rent something from uhaul or something?? one of those small pickup that they rent???

This is what friends are for. Guys love to use their trucks to help move stuff.; it helps them rationalize keeping them.

Why not rent one? They are only ~$25/day.

no need to over analyze the situation

everyone loves to make jokes until they need help moving.

I don't need to rationalize a useful vehicle. And I don't help people move stuff with my truck unless I get PAID... I send them to Home Depot where you can rent a truck by the hour. 😉

Asking a guy with a truck to help you move stuff for free is like asking a latina chick to come clean your house for free. It's just not right.

I am pretty sure you have to buy something first.

Lowes instead!

And, like I said, a small rental place will be cheaper.

Should be able to rent a small truck from U-Haul that will do the job, however if you have to travel any real distance on the highway, be advised that their trucks tend to be total POS & its well worth spending a little more at Ryder.

Not sure aboute Lowes and/or Home Depot, but U-haul rents their pick-up for $19.95, I believe, PLUS MILEAGE. The mileage adds up quickly, so keep this in mind.

Go to your local car dealership. Take a pick-up out for a test drive. Get the couches, move them, then return truck. If the couches are close to the dealership--both starting & ending points, you can swing it. Otherwise, a friend with a pick-up should work.*

*DISCLAIMER: A quick move of a couch, pick-up/delivery of a TV, etc is not a big deal for most truck owners if you are friends. HOWEVER, do not view someone with a pick-up as your personal moving service.

Buy a pickup truck. You can get them for like $600 if you look around. 😀

Of course, you'll probably get stuck fixing it a lot, but that's fun too. I swapped out my starter solenoid today.... 😀
