In six weeks time I need to register a domain, order equipment, and set up a VPN connection, and move an AS/400 system from Nebraska to Arizona.

They are poping up around, there is one at the AZ Mills mall, some GasStations around the valley have them delivered.

My wife really likes them. So I tend to know where to get them.

you are telling me this.. we were to move to a new building (the whole company) the sr. IT guy isnt told anything about when the move is and what's going on with teh IT infrastructure. I was basically put out of the "view" because of the idiots in 2D and a few more from otherdepartmentswho thought they knew everything. Finally when we are to move, I am expected to move the whole network + broadband connection in 2 days. "

I put my foot down and said to them that "I am not god, I cannot do it in 2 days. Thats a hell lot of stuff to preplan, things that should have been done a month or two ago.".. for their mistake of not telling the Sr. IT guy I made them all surf the internet on 1 shared 56K connection until Time Warner dropped their connection to the building.

Still there are some hot heads in teh company who think they know it all, and then finally have to come to the IT guy to fix it. Why not come to me first.. makes my life a lot easier.

My company is the same, they acquired a long distance company and a sattelite based ISP within 2 weeks, and decided to route calls for them to us. We have nothing to do with them either! Simply amazing...
