I thought it was a big zit but it turns out its a cyst and i have to have minor surgery on it since its directly in the middle of my forehead

.I had one on my chin and had it removed. It was actually pretty cool because my chin was just numb and I could feel the guy cutting and poking at my bare flesh. Weirdest experience I've ever had. Well, next to waking up while they were removing my wisdom teeth and feeling the dentist scrape at my tooth. Again, didn't feel a bit of pain or anything.
i had a small one one my collarbone. i took a small knife cut it open, removed the fluids and cleaned it up and stuck a bandage on it. good as new. left a tiny scar and that was it.

Wow, lucky, I've had friends say that getting their wisdom teeth out killed, even with the pain killers! (Which is why I hope I never have to take them out)

Oh man.. cysts are awful (like a huge boil only much worse) ouch!! Never had one myself and I hope I never do especially on my face.. good god.. most of the time they occur on the back, thigh or abdomen..
Dont worry, I had a cyst removed from my face a couple of weeks ago. You gonna have a scar, but it will look cool (mine does!)

Actually, that isnt quite right. Ok it depends on the type of cyst, but the most common ones appear on the face, neck or back. The most common type is sebaceous (spelling?) which is where you sebaceous glands (which keep your hair moist) become clogged and the crap just builds up, till eventually it will burst and cause you even more problems. Best to get them removed while they are small and not leave it a couple of years like i did.
A cyst isnt like a blister at all, nor like a boil. All it is, is a lump, pure and simple, it doesnt hurt (unless there is something wrong with it), it just sits there gathering puss and other crud and getting bigger. Like EnragedPC, i thought mine was just a zit, unitl i realised I'd had it for about a month and it hadnt disappeared.
Usually semi-solid, they have a firm outer layer then its usually puss stuff inside. Quite often they rest just under the skin, but it depends on the individual case.
i was told that since im having surgery on it from a real surgeon and not a normal doctor that there will be little to no scar at all...i dont want a freakin scar its on my forehead
I had a cyst on my eye a few years ago. Fortunately, all it took was some fluid to dissolve it. Made me look like I had a black eye minus the bruises.

I had a cyst on my forehead removed about a month ago - the surgeon just burnt it off under local anaesthetic with what looked like a weird pen with a filament at the end. I could see the smoke coming off and hear the sizzling of my skin. It didn't smell to good either. :disgust:
Anyway, it left a small recess in my head with a scab at the bottom. It's almost levelled out now, and the scab's about to drop off too.
