damn helping co-workers with their computers

so i am still working late tonight at work and remember a co-worker bringing her computer to fix that there was something wrong with the cd-rom drive. its late and i am really tired and so i start to work on it. forgetting to actually check the problem, i open the case, unscrew the drive, and start to look for a comparable machine in the office, we have like 10 unused old machines. find one, the start to look at the back of the case while installing the drive and see that it has the old plugs on the back not ps/2.

damn these old computer, so now i have to tell her can't do anything about it since we don't have any old keyboards, it's going to break her heart since it was sitting there for about a week now.

I have a bunch of those Keyboard converters lying around in the office. Drop me a PM if u need one. Cant you just use the mouse?

Computers really don't like to POST without keyboards....

why not take the CD-ROM out of the old computer, and put it in her computer-- and see if it works?
