Has anybody else noticed?

For a long time, it was 1.27/gallon for regular down at the Chevron on SE 82nd and Johnson Creek Blvd. It's generally the cheapest station for miles around here.

It's up to 1.44/gallon now for regular at that station, and I've seen it as high as 1.77/gallon for Premium at Texaco stations. :Q

Is it because of the strike in Venezuela?

It's all that commie Chavez's fault! See what happens when you end the Cold War with out all the loose ends tidied up? Now we're fighting the Reds where it hurts the most: our wallets! :D

We get much more of our oil from Venezuela than the Middle East. The increased prices are mostly because of the strike.

Now you guys are having a taste of what we normally pay for gas in Ontario Canada. Our prices have shot up too.

lol I've been paying $1.69 per gallon like forever now. Cheap gas from 76 and Mobile here in LA are usually around ~$1.61 for the regular unlead and as much as $1.89 for premium. You shouldn't complain just yet :)

77.9 cents/L x 3.785411784000006 L in a gallon = $2.95/gallon for 87 octane here. :(

Sad, but true. Though, you don't buy 10-20 gallons of CocaCola at a time. :p

lol.. It's funny how you people say "crappy 87 octane", as if it's really any different from "Premium", as far as quality goes.. :p

1.59/gallon Regular 87 Octane - Chevron - Huntsville, Alabama
It really makes me sick when supposedly we have some of the cheapest gas in the country.
