Thanks, I tried my best. 😛

Seriously - it's very easy to understand, unlike the plethora of complicated diagrams that usually get thrown into these threads 🙂

The guy was wrong,
but I don't see any physical damage from your picture.

lots of ATOT traffic problems tonight...

If you look at the tire, you can see the white-like patch where the tire hit the curb. In the circle, you'll notice the outer edge of the polished lip doesn't look to polished anymore. Thank god I'm running wider than average tires or the whole lip could have been fvkced up..

Wider than average tires....you don't have those lawn tractor tires on your car do you?

I wish I did! Then I wouldn't mind trying to run the guy over instead of him running over me..

I run a 205/50/15 tire, where as most Civics with 15" rims run a 195/55/15.

Ok, I'm not a car fanatic and know next to nothing (I can change my oil and brake pads and that's about it). But the tires you have, those are the extra-wide, rather thin looking tires? They look like they stick about a foot out of the wheelwell?

You gots mad Paint skills bro. The use of a legend to explain your diagram goes beyond the works of Michaelangelo et al.

i was cracking up so hard when i saw the pic...

LOL

sorry i'm laughing though...that really sucks.....asshole driver....freakin...

one time, i was a passenger, and my friend was just driving on the no. 2 lane...and this dude was making a right turn..and when u make a right...u make sure first that there are no cars..then turn...but if there is a phokking car at least turn TO THE NO. 1 LANE THAT GODDAMN PHOKKER TURNED INTO THE NO. 2 LANE!!! my friend had to swerve to oncoming traffic..swerve back ..but lost control...and crashed into the wall next to the road..and the phokker took off!!! :|

well, the dmg was of course 100x worse than ur scratch, but still, drivers like this should be shot

Err, maybe it's the angle. What I was saying was that cause of the wider tires, there was something to hit the curb first besides the rim, so it sort of absorbed the damage. Maybe this pic helps a bit? Or this one?

I like the pics 🙂

Did you get the license # by chance? Forcing another driver off the road because of failure to follow the basic traffic laws, even if there is no contact between the cars, is technically an accident in the eyes of the law. Driving off makes it hit-and-run.
