Emmit to the cards

So is he saying he'd rather be the starter for a sucky team then play on a competitor somewhere else?

Other then the cap issues w/ dallas, I don't know why he didn't just stay there on that sucky team.......unless he just didj't feel it was right to compete for the starting position......or he dind't like the tuna.

I hate tahe cowboys as much as anybody else.....mostly b/c of Jerry Jones......and the american bandwagon team......but even I admit I like the Tuna.......

BTW>
GO FINS!!!!!!!!!

The cards really want him to boost ticket sales. There are probably more Dallas Cowboy fans here than in any other city not in texas, so the cards know people will pay just to see Emmitt.

The thing is, he WASN'T going to start for the Tuna. Any role with his hit on the cap would have been a backup, probably to Hambrick.

Cardinals fans seem to love the Cowboys anyway. He'd fit in nicely there. That's probably the only team he has a chance at starting with

3-4 millions a year for a 33 yr old, almost done, RB? I rather get a fresh young leg from free agency or draft. Then again, its probably just to boost ticket sales, as mentioned before.

The cards are going to have to use their good draft picks for a quarterback and wide out. Besides, they already have a decent running back in marcel Shipp. Emmitt is going to have to compete with him for playing time.

I don't the Cards are going to pick a QB this year. They'll draft Suggs. If he's not there, they'll trade down and get a couple of good young prospects. And no way Smith has to compete with the Tugboat for PT. If anything, they'll run two back sets with the both of them, and Shipp will fill the same sort of role that Larry Centers once had - catching passes out of the backfield and running as a change-of-pace back. I think Emmitt is going to have a great year, especially running behind the Big Red line and James Hodgins.

With the signings the Big Red has made this year, they might not be too bad. 😀

Especially if they add Vonnie Holiday. 😀

i must say, emmitt played his last season for the cowpokes as if he wasn't motivated. except for the record of course. on days that he was motivated he as just about as good as any starting back in the game.

he can still bring it. i think people will be surprised by his production next year. i'd take him early 6th round in a fantasy draft next season. i think he'd be a good statistical 2nd back.
