Damn email spoofers

Someone is spoofing my main email account and sending out viruses (fizzer) to millions of people. Of course, I receive all of the undeliverable emails to my account and have received just over 100 in the past hour.

Anyone have any contact information (preferably a 800 number) for alltel.net?

Funny you should mention this, I've had this happen to me twice in the last week.

Hmmm... what did you do to somebody to deserve this?

I've had it happen a few times... angry people email me back and can't understand that I didn't do it. They're like "take me off your mailing list"... I tell them I don't have one.

I can't even imagine trying to explain the problem to the normally idiotic people that handle tech support

The guy was definitely lost. I told him I had IP and host name, but he did not know what to do. Instead I had to forward an email to abuse@alltel.net. It will probably be days before anything gets done.

They used to use my webserver for that. Talked to the owner and there was nothing he could do.

Interestingly enough, I believe AOL has blocked mail from my webserver. Everytime someone requests their forum password be mailed to them (Alteast thats what I think it is), I get an error in my Inbox.

I'm still plagued by viruses from Taiwan though...

I hate it when people don't do reverse lookups on mails
That would block 90% of that type of spam.
