I wanted to get this answer, Has Anyone has successfully installation on Cubx CMD-controller ATA-66 Driver from Asus CD ?

At First Start up boot-system My had noticed why was the IRQ 14/15 IDE Controller shared on Cubx board .

My Other Pc system only do have IRQ 14 alone IDE-controller.

My isn't this answer, the Same thing Crash after
installation CMD-Controller Driver, then Is this a conflict due IRQ 14/15 was this a cause this ? Or it suppose to be alone IRQ 14 instead 14/15.

I need this a helpful for me to understand the CMD Controller .

If I understand this correctly you tried to install the CMD driver and it shared an IRQ and crashed?

Try going into the bios and see what IRQ's you can free up such as USB, Comm port, SB emulation in Device Manager ect.

Which OS?

Ok first of all I don't want to be-little you , so please don't take it that way. On most mainboards IRQ's 14 and 15 are used for primary and secondary IDE controllers. I hope you are not saying that you tried to install the CMD drivers onto one of those devices, cause they ain't the CMD controller. The CMD controller is shared with PCI slot 2. So go into your Bios and map your PCI slots to specific IRQ's. Once you choose which IRQ you have free for the CMD controller set that IRQ for PCI Slot 2. Now when you restart it will show up as either a SCSI controller or a mass storage device with a yellow question mark under device manager, I think. Now right click it hit properties then update driver. Point it towards the CMD win9x folder and you are all set after a reboot. Don't forget to go in and configure each controller through device manage for ATA66 transfer speeds as well as check the DMA box on your drives. Here is my review of this board if it helps. http://gotapex.com/reviews/cubx/index.htm
By the way this is for Win98 right?

Your review has been done on your results on Asus Cubx, Okay I take a loook on Asus Manual Page 62, Where bios Advanced Options are
Slot 2 IRQ [Auto] change something for PCI. I 'll to take it a given try but your method is different using yellow mark where on System Device Manager to use update driver and use it CMD Win9x driver not in the Windows in other way using System Device Manager after that reboot system all thing to set it up. I haven't ran this alike yours method !

Is that leaving the IRQ 14/15 alone where the start-up boot start ?
