Damn Crysis is amazing looking

Doesn't look quite as good as the tech demos IMO. And did you see that tank explosion? It got pretty choppy.

I expect Crysis to be the Best Game of 2007...that wasn't...simply because hardware will need to catch up.

Looks can be deceiving 😉

Crysis will be the best looking game out this year (if it actually does arrive in 2007), but UT2k7 will be the most fun

honestly, i felt that the original UT had the best "feel" to it. UT2k4 was almost too fast paced, and the weapons felt like they packed no real punch. give me back my dual enforcers:thumbsup:

i'll be interested to see/play both crysis and 2k7, because both have tons of potential.

Hmm, i find UT2k4 too slow actually.

There an excellent mod out there that balances the weapons out (less hitscan oriented, more in your face action) that also increase speed & allows for gaining speed via bunny hopping 🙂

It's how the game really should be 😛

But it looks like your wish for a slower style of play will be granted, as Epic has somewhat nerfed movement in UT2k7, so it will be more n00b friendly...

in my old age (20) i can barely keep up with UT2k4... someone else on AT used to play quake with me, and at first i had the upper hand.. but within a few weeks, they schooled me like i was a noob😱

I love dual too, but what annoys me is that the only way you can do this is in the (unlikely) case you kill someone who's using that as their active weapon; you can't find it laying arounf the level, so it's almost impossible to do 🙁

gotta frag 'em early 😉

I saw crysis at CES. Given it was just a demo with god mode and the AI disabled it was still quite amazing. I spent about 20 minutes talking with one of the art directors about the game, though he seemed to know alot more about it than just as an artist.

The suit you get looks very promising, picking up and throwing objects is cool, the vehicles seemed pretty neat, explosions are nothing short of amazing

My favorite feature of the suit is the jump skill which lets you do some amazing acrobatics. I cant wait for it to develop more.

Most of the UT games seemed too slow to me, but then I was an avid Quake player and that's probably why.
