damn crappy light beer

Amstel Light has to be the worst beer I've ever had. I bought some on a recommendation from my brother who said it's the only light beer he'll drink. Well I was at Costco and saw a 24 pack for $20 so I decided to buy it. I'm trying to drink it now and it really really stinks. It's highly carbonated, has a very slight and almost imperceptable hoppy beginning which fades into a club soda taste. I can't believe this stuff sells...

Sucks, doesn't it?

There really is not any good light beer, is there?

🙂
i like Labatt Blue Light

I tried regular labatt blue a couple years ago and liked it. I may have to try their light stuff out. If I weren't such a cheapskate I'd pour out the remainder of the Amstel in the sink and go buy something else.

As a beer drinker who has tried hundreds of beers(I'm always trying out new stuff) I prefer regular beers as well. However, you must have tainted or skunked Amstel Light. It is clearly one of the better light beers. Either you are high or got a bad batch.

Yes there is:

UpperCanada Light Lager - its quite nice.

Labatts Crystal - while not labeled a light beer, it is low in alcohol and high in refreshment value.

I'm curious, why your left nut hairs? Do they exhibit a particular pungency more representative of a nut hair, or was it just some capricious choice on your part?

Actually I'm clean shaven, goin for that porn star look ya know...

I just need to start homebrewing. I'm getting to be a beer snob and there isn't anything I like to drink except what's on tap from the local brewery. Problem with that is it's so expensive and I'm not exactly the social, out-going type who can visit a local brewery on his own. i feel so self conscience when I'm by myself and my wife doesn't like to drink...

I prefer Coors' Light to Amsdel light, by a large margin.

Coors light is basically water. One of the worst light beers by far (if you actually care about tasting your beer, that is).

i gotta agree. Coors just has their commercials going for them.

Why drink light beer to save 30 calories?

Just get some excercise...if your already active then 30 cals in hardly a bother.

In Greece, all they have is Amstel.......no light.

I prefer a coors light, then Amstel light, then Miller light. Once in a while I like to enjoy a nice stout.

I think those of us that like it, like it, because it ACTUALLY tastes like beer (for a light beer i mean).
