Damn compaq

as some of you may know my firest couple of posts here, we sorta of frantic and i've found some other things out baout my computer ( compaq presario 1510t)

Its the mother board or the power supply.

Could someone tell me or make an educated guess at what the problem is between the two. Its probally the cheaper of the two wiht them trying to screw me out of $375 bucks. and saying the yreplaced the motherboard

its go this strange problem, when when you turn it on it sounds liek its doing something but nothign comes up on the screen. The screen is fine and i took it to staples because they do a cheap diagnostic, which is what i need. i can probally fix this problem myself.

But i dont know what parts to buy. This is where i could use some help. what motherboards are good for a lap top, and what power souce.

Since it is a Compaq and a laptop as well, your only recourse is going to be letting them fix it. Once you get inside a laptop there are not many parts you can replace yourself unless you REALLY know what you are doing.
