So I can start enrolling today at 1PM which is pretty early since I am a senior and next quarter is my last. At 11:30AM I check the status of a lab that I NEED to take to graduate. They have scheduled 3 labs and all 3 are full already! The labs have an enrollment cap of 10 and a waiting list of 10 and its all full! This lab is required for all Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering with Computer Science option students. Im sure there are about 200-300 seniors that need to take this class, though some may have taken it already. This is gonna leave alot of seniors in a crappy position. DAMN UCLA AND THEIR CROWDED CLASSES!

for my grad classes in SEAS, they let everyone in. so those signup numbers mean nothing. they still might let you in. plus they want you out of there too, they might give you priority over someone who is taking it, but not about to graduate.

Chill, dude! Seniors are always given the priority, especially graduating seniors.
At least that's what they do in Berkely with overcrowded classes. Freshmen usually don't have a chance.

Geez, welcome to my world. It seems like every semester I have one or two classes that I have to be on a waitlist for nearly 2 weeks before gettin in. Shoot u should know better that you should get into the class since you are a senior. [/b]SENIORS RULEZ!!![/b]

yeah, but at Berkeley (i was there for undergrad), priority is given for waitlisted people, they dont increase the class size or kick people out who are enrolled. and in berkeley, at least the waitlists are big enough for a lot of people to get on it. at ucla its small

Great, welcome to my boat. 100 seats, 105 enrolled (they have extra desks they can bring in), 10 person wait list.

In other words, they already past max capacity, no way anyone on wait list will get into class.

Waitlist? what's this "waitlist" that you speak of? Nonexistant at UGA.

Then again, you can usually ask the professor of the course, and they'll overload you in...especially if you're a graduating senior.

Hey, if the system isn't being on your side, SCREW THE SYSTEM!
Don't grauduate! It's not worth the effort.

Maybe I should vacation in Spain next quarter 😉

Its like that here at SLO too. Some classes fill up during the priority registration period so even if youre in the #1 group to register, you might not get what you need.
