Poles don't have alot of 'give' in them. If you have to hit a Pole make sure its someone from europe instead, because the ones from detroit can be a killer.

Hitting things while drunk/angry can be one of the best ways to learn to control both. It was for me.

Nothing like an elbow strike to a steel light-post when you're pissed to teach you not to do it again. I feel it to this day on cold days.
