Dallas currently stands at 6-4. Were it not for absurd penalies, they would DEFINITELY have won in Washington, and it was KEY penalties that ultimately cost them the Jacksonville game. The Philly game came down to the last play of the game, no matter what the final score indicates. The only loss that they were legitimately, completely outplayed was the NYG game, and that was Romo's first start (which I still maintain was a bad time to play him).
Regardless of earlier in the season, Dallas is 3-1 with Romo starting, three of those on the road, one coming against a 9-0 team, the one loss should have been a win. Also, like I said, the other teams in the NFC east are decimated by injuries (washington - portis, philly - mcnabb, nyg - everyone).
Yes, I think that is plenty cause to be optimistic. Note, I did not say they will be going to or winning the superbowl - just that they have a GREAT chance to take the division right now. Keep in mind that 4 of their last 6 games are at home.
They will beat Tampa, Philly, and Detroit at home. They will go at LEAST 1-2 (possibly better) at home against the reeling, overrated Saints, on the road against Atlanta & NYG. That puts them between 10-6 and 12-4, easily good enough to win the NFC east.
