No, we waited for 35 minutes for a clear shot, but its impossible at that sucker....

Im going back in 3-4 weeks and can try again...

Why don't you just stand where blueshirtguy was standing and take the pic...
 
I never understood why people take pictures of things that they could find on a postcard or pamphlet. For example, if I go to the statue of liberty I'll take a picture of me in front of it rather than just a picture of the statue itself

I wanted to use my 50mm lens, its much sharper indoors w/ that type of lighting..... You have to be fairly far back to use it though...

I wasn't really going for ownage. I appreciate that the OP has a hobby, but standing there for 35 minutes waiting to get a clear shot at an object in a museum seems like an exercise in futility to me. Wait 5 minutes, realize it ain't happening, admit defeat, and take a picture of something else. 🙂
