<< I have never had a HD of any brand crash or die on me in the 6 years that I been fooling with computers >>

Same here I`ve owned brands from IBM,Maxtor,WD,Fujitsu,Quantum and never had a HD die on me yet :)(touch wood ;)) .

I guess it`s only a matter of time so I`m going to enjoy it while it last ;).

I can't believe and Anandtech user with over 800 posts hasn't heard of Tivo. I'm selling my stock. The company is doomed.

I must be really lucky. I've never had a HDD fail on me.

And that's even with owning 6 75GXPs (4 in one RAID config, 2 in another)

Although, I did have an old 1GB Seagate HDD develop one bad sector. But it still runs to this day (my niece uses it).

I've had:
0 WD's fail
0 Maxtor's fail
0 Seagate's fail
1 Conner Fail
1,234,546 Quantum's fail (possibly slightly off. ;) )

That's what happens when you backup. (Your drives never die)
