Well I can understand that. But how many people do you meet every day that eat mainly garlic? How many smokers do you meet every day?

I would take garlic or curry over the smell of being trapped with a smoker in an elevator.

Not a chance. I rather smell 1000 smokers than be exposed to the nasty body odor of people who either have exotic diets, or just don't bathe.

What, nobody brings up perfume/cologne? I always thougth "toilet water" was an appropriate name for that stuff. With smokers the stench is a byproduct, with that crap it's only purpose IS to force other people to smell you. Start the initiative process to ban that in the workplace and I'll sign on.

I like the smell of some smoke...burning tires no, burning leaves in the fall maybe, pipe smoke from a distance sometimes, a charcoal grill burning the flesh of a dead cow, usually. Isn't any perfume that I like, far as I'm concerned people should save their money and just buy Pinesol, it's cheaper by the ounce.

Ugh, you're lucky. I smell BO quite often. Especially when I visit CA and go places where there is lots of immigrants.
