I had to call SONY and behold it went to India...she had no clue..and i could tell she was
damn glad i solved it myself while waiting for her to type it up and look for a solution.

Problem:
Adding ram to the srx77...she didn't have much idea about 'ram', nor the 'srx77'. :disgust:

Thats where you are wrong...well, not totally correct. DO u honestly think the savings are really passed on to the consumers? We are still paying more or less the same for the product. Price drops on the items are more due to price drops in the components, technology, rather than cost-savings passed on to the consumers. This nothing new, ALL new techie stuff are sold at premium...then price drops as the months go by and more competitors get on the bandwagon. This is the trend regardless. They are sending all the jobs to India so as to improve their OWN bottom line and profits. Can u honestly say
u got a great deal now just coz the jobs are in India? I don't and can't. I'm still buying/paying alike the trends, while the companies are improving their bottom line by outsourcing to India and handing me the shorter end of the stick with poorer service and support.

Dell, gateway and the rest have done the same thing through the years and that is dropped their prices. The price drop, as Slycat said, is because of competition, lower cost of components, and them cutting warrenty lengths; not them being nice to us. They lower their prices put shat in the case and send them out by the millions. Most people buy a computer because it sounds fast, ewww a 3 ghz cpu that?s great, what they get is the fastest pos on the market.

They have tek support, and that tek support should be able to communicate to the costumer what is needed to solve a problem. If you think that all of them know a lot about computers then you are wrong, they know more then average (sometimes not even that). If you can't understand the person then ask to be connected with someone else or call back.
