Has anyone heard of Damien Rice?

Apparently the album has been out for a while now but I've never heard about him. The first time was when I saw him on late night tv (Last Call with Carson Daly). I went to get the album at Best Buy and it's awesome. Worth a try.

Very nice sound collage on "Volcano."

He did a 3-song live set for the local singer-songwriter station in Seattle that was good, but not so good that I had to rush out to get the CD. It's too bad I'm such a goody-two-shoes, or I'd P2P the CD to see whether I like it enough to buy. Oh well, RIAA stupidity costs them another $13.

It's a shame that you won't give it a "test run". The album really is something else.

He'll be performing on Last Call with Carson Daly this friday . Around 1:35AM EST NBC- Right after Conan.

I must add though that it's not the type of music atot's would listen to... I happen to be an indierock/brit pop kinda guy.... These guys like john mayers.. ho-hum..

I've heard some of his music. Lots of acoustic stuff that sounds so meloncholly. Must be depressing where he lives.
