Damaged Ring

I just fell in to a hole while driving home and my car ring has the inner part slightly blended and that let the air to escape.

I just used the extra tire to drive home, but I have no idea if the ring can be repaired or I need to buy a new one from the dealership.

The tire looks fine to me, but who knows. Any way the ring is what worries me.

Does someone have an advice to me? Obviously besides to start dodging holes.

Thanks,

If its a steel whell with a hub cap you might be able to fix it.

If i has mag wheels on it..... Good luck.... And dont get the sticker shock....

If it was me, find one at a junk yard...

The ring is 17? and is made of aluminum and the bended part is on the inner part, where the tire meets the ring.

There is a guy on my work that swears that he knows someone who can fix it for less than 30 dlls.

#1... its not a ring, its a wheel, unless you are talking about a trim ring on a wheel.
#2... if the bead where the tire seals around the wheel is bent you should just get a new wheel, the bent one will never seal correctly, also, if the wheel is bent out of round the tire will wear much faster and it will wear out your suspension components much faster also.

what are dlls? dollars? USD? $? CDN?

Dude, this is a tech board, it's a dynamic link library.

Ok, I believe that is a wheel. I will go for a new one; they are cheaper than I thought.

Thanks for the energetic response. I just hope that you don?t work for a wheels company.

Ok, it seems that a 17" wheel for a Ford Fusion it's priced at ~450 U.S. Dlls with the dealership in CA and roughly a little more expensive in Mexico.

Remember VxD's from the 3.11/95 days?

Good news, my mother has always bought Ford and she called the manager and told about it; they got me one wheel at 10% of the first price and in the same day instead of a week after, so I?m very happy right now.

I was about to buy the wheel where Jumpem suggested me. I?m glad that I told to my parents and that they tried to get something in my name.

Thanks,
