Damaged my asus WIFI GO antenna for P8Z77-v pro

I need a replacement, it's beyond repair so im not even going to try to fix it. I was wondering if somthing along the lines of this will work,

it's for an older motherboard though, and im not sure it will work with my current one.

If not, does anyone know of any replacements that will work?

I think they use a variation of the standard connector. However, depending on how different it is, a regular antenna might work.

I just went to frys, all the antennas there had female connectors, where as this mobo takes a male connector.

Looking for any advice I can get on this situation.

The board probably has female RP-SMA ports. Most WiFi antennas have male RP-SMA connectors (these have no pin in the middle; hence the "RP"). It's a bit confusing but the diagram on the Wiki page should help you figure it out.
