Damage possible from dangling cables?

Hi there,

There is a cable from my Antec Blue LED fan that is touching my soundcard. Is there any possible way damage can be done from wires touching cards? Should I bother opening up the case and moving it?

As long as the wires are insulated you should be fine, but bare wires are a no-no. You should be fine, but for cleanliness I'd move the wires.

What exactly are bare wires? Is a wire from the fan insulated?
