There could be another major hurricane soon headed toward one of the gulf states in about 1 week or less.

I live in Orlando, Just got power back about an hour ago. No damage to my place but we do have tons of trees down. Lots of buildings have roof damage and near where my brother lives a couple of mobile homes had the roofs ripped off. Lots of power still out over the city and alot of traffic lights out.

Narse do you remember the last time Orlando, FL had a hurricane directly hit them? Have you heard if any of the theme parks in Orlando, FL were damaged?

Not too bad. Lots and lots of trees and power lines are down though. We just got power back an hour ago. Much of the city is still without power I think. At least half of the traffic lights are still out. The grocery store I work at lost all of there perishables. They had about a hundred carts in the back of the store filled with trash bags full of bad food. They are still without power but they are open so people can by canned food and such. They are already clearing the debris off the roads. Last night we were driving around and there were many trees blocking the roads.

My wife was in Naples yesterday during the hurricane with my mother-in-law and daughter. The power has been out for about 24 hours at the hotel they are staying in (Pelican Bay?). Needless to say, they did leave the area this afternoon for Palm Beach to stay with my sister-in-law before heading down to the Keys on Monday.
I can't believe the damage that I've seen on the news channels. Truly devastating. 🙁
The fourth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, Danielle, formed Friday but was several days from land. The tropical storm was rapidly gaining strength, with top sustained winds of 65 mph, and could become a hurricane, forecasters said.
Newly formed Tropical Storm Earl was threatening islands in the southeastern Caribbean Sea.
Sounds like Danielle might be heading away from land, but too soon to tell with Earl.Originally posted by: Kenazo

Anyone know what's happening right now with those two storms?
The dozens of stuffed animals he'd won for his wife in claw machines were strewn across the puddled lawn and the street. But inside the trailer, her bell collection was intact. "Eerie," he said.
