Happens to everyone, just take a break for a while. Get outside more, do other fun stuff. Eventually you'll feel the burn again :)

You got older.

It happens to most people, but it doesn't mean you can't get the interest back.

For me a long break from gaming took place after I broke up with my girlfriend. Just didn't feel like playing games back then, but eventually got the interest back with the passage of time.

I have played less in the past year combined than I did in a typical month a couple of years ago. I switched to cable TV, TIVO DVRs help a good bit.

I have a hard time finding games that hold my interest nowadays. I just beat FEAR2, which took me over a month to complete. It just couldn't play it for more than about 30 minutes at a time. I've had that problem with most recent "action" games. IMO devs tend to cater to the mainstream so much now that it's rare to find a game that isn't extremely easy or extremely repetitive.

Maybe i'm just getting older, but the only games that hold my interest any longer are RPG's. And even finding a good RPG seems difficult now.

Blizzard hasn't released any games in a long while. Sc2 will be out this winter likely and Diablo 3 possibly 1 - 1.5 years after that, I imagine you'll be back into gaming soon enough.
