Dam can't wait till they release MIDs that really function well.

Typing on my iPod touch here is giving me cramped thumbs. Sadly apple will probably be the first to really do an MID properly. I guess we have to wait a few years for the ATOM to scale up in speed and down in power. My thumbs will be happy.

Mobile Internet Device. They are what the second generation of ATOM processors will be going into. Before the ATOM scales down to the smart phone level in terms of power usage in a few years. MIDs are part way between a smart phone and a tablet. Think of something twice as big as the iPhone. It's not meant to be portable for the road. Basically they are just an interim product so Intel can continue to sell the Atom while they retool their fabs so they can produce the next gen of atoms.

Huh meh well I expected as much. Intel didn't have a Market for their interim atoms so they just made one up. Guess it will be netbooks for atom till they get into phones.
