That field goal was the weirdest thing i ever seen, it went up and obviously off course but it just nipped the inside feild goal, that was insane.

cowboys make a big 3 and 5 and setup vanderjagt for a 29 yard fieldgoal with 7 seconds left.

the kick is up and the skins block it, taylor recovers it and goes for a big return taking the time to 0 but there is a facemasking clear as day on him (a 15 yarder), which in turn gives the skins 1 more play that is untimed, with the clock at 0.

so novak kicks a 47 yard fieldgoal and it just slides in and the skins win by 3!

barely... it was still incidental, and he had no intention of bringing him down with the facemask.

let's just put it this way, I've seen much worse to get the 5 yard variety instead of the 15 yard variety.

yah that's just what happens when it's at the refs discression. typically to me, it seems when you can clearly see the facemask and the guys neck jerks to the side, they deserve 15 yards. the 5 yarders I typically see are more when their hands kinda graze over the facemask and doesn't really affect the players head or anything.

but like you said, oh well heh.

if the dumb ass cowboys had not gone for 2 and just kicked the extra point early on, they would have kneeled down the ball after novak missed his first field goal.

blah. I blame Roy Williams and the special teams line.

Roy Williams for committing a PI on a ball that Lloyd did not have a realistic chance at catching and moved the ball some 50 yards to setup up the chris cooley td reception.

then after romo hits witten to set up the winning FG. watch the replay. Even if Vincent didn't block it. half the Redskins line are already on top of the Cowboys line with hands up.

As someone noted above, that was hardly a 15 yard face mask. The refs in other games have let worst go for a mere 5 yards.

LOL no! At some point in the game he laid down on the field, pretended to sleep, and got a penalty for it. I didn't see it so I don't know exactly what happened or why. That's why I was wondering if you had a clip of it.

That was a FLUKE win and I'm a skins fan. Gibbs demeanor when he went to shake Parcell's hand shows that, but the cowboys lost the game. Hope next week against Philly is a bit better.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm having encoding issues... I've encoded 30 second hdtv commercials at 20 megs and they looked great (720p) but for some reason, this stream @ 100 megs, 2:42 at 560x320 doesn't look as clean. it's uploading now and i'll post a link when it finishes.
