Dallas, TX: I'm ready to start an Indianapolis Colts fan club

I'm tired of watching the game with only 2-3 real Colts fans. I want to get a bunch of people together and start a Dallas chapter of Indianapolis Colts fans. I know there are people here, I see more Indiana plates than almost any out of state plates period. I know it sounds weird, but I do!

Here's the idea. The Colts play this Saturday at 3:30 PM (Dallas time). I'd like to watch the game at a bar, and here's what I propose:

Clicks Billiards
19049 Marsh Ln.
Dallas, TX

It's at the intersection of Rosemeade and Marsh Ln.

Directions:

From the Dallas North Tollway:
Take George Bush Turnpike west, exit Midway/Rosemeade
Continue straight through the light at Midway, turning onto Rosemeade
Turn left on Marsh Ln. and Clicks is immediately on your right hand side

From 635 if you don't use toll roads:
Exit Marsh Ln. and go North on Marsh
Clicks is on your left after passing Frankford and the George Bush Turnpike

The great thing about Clicks is that they have 4 Mitsubishi rear projection televisions that you can sit about 15 feet from and they will turn on the surround sound! The bartendar last weekend was pretty helpful and I was impressed with the service overall.

There are electronic darts, plenty of pool tables, and you can get $10 pitchers of beer. I generally stick to Absolut for $4.75 :D Not a "hot deal" but not bad either.

Please reply to this thread if you're in!!! I will bump it periodically as the week goes on.

I really hope some people in Dallas see this. I'll post this on Colts.com as well and if anyone else cares to, please post this on other large forums to get the word out. Let's go cheer on the Colts!

Haha yeah buddy it's been some time and a LOT has happened since we spoke. Married, joined a band, got out of a retail work environment... All good things! I see you are still at it with the 65,000 post count approaching!

Scary stuff Rossman!

I think if the Colts defense can play the same way they did last week, and the Colts offense clicks like it normally does that Baltimore has no chance. I'm not predicting that to happen, as I think it will be a hard fought game for both teams. I think the typical Colts defense from the regular season is likely to show up. We will have to rely on Peyton as we always do. If you think about it, I doubt Baltimore will have much more success shutting the Colts down offensively than anyone else this year. The Colts always score at a minimum 14 points (this year anyway) and Baltimore is not an offensive force. That's why the game could fall into either team's lap. I think Indianapolis has won 3 straight against Baltimore.

One thing I always love about Colts/Ravens matchups is watching Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis completely screwing with one another in regards to switching up play calls. It's complete mayhem before everyplay as players shift all over the place.

I'm not certain, but I think Ray Lewis is just screwing with Peyton. Peyton is generally switching real plays at the line. It does cause confusion and is hilarious to watch though :D

Oh no, there is definately method to the madness. Lewis keeps the defense moving around so Manning can't tell what defensive scheme they're setting up. It works the same both ways.

Why on earth would you root for a team that consistently chokes in the playoffs? Is this 'club' secretly a club for masochists? ;)

It all comes down to how effective 2 former Vols are: Peyton and Jamal Lewis. If Jamal gets going then it will be a long day for the Colts D.

And for some of the "jokesters", not everyone just cheers for a team based on wins. If must get expensive buying new jerseys every year. How much dust is on your Steelers hat from last year?

Yeah I really root for the team because I'm from Indianapolis, grew up with Colts football and regardless of past playoff history the Colts have been really fun to watch for several years now. I really can't explain the passion, it's just there.

I'm no where near Dallas now, but I do hope the Colts make it to the Big Game this year. I'd hate to see Peyton go the same way as Marino.

Yo divine - my parents literally live a minute away from there. :) Grew up right next to that Clicks but never actually went in. Live in Wylie now but moving to Addison (I could walk to Sherlocks) in February.

Dude, bumping your own OT thread is lame, and makes the baby Jeebus weep salty tears of regret. :(

I love Tuesday morning moderators on forums :) My behavior if unacceptable to you is fine by me, I could care less what you think of my online persona. Anyway, I'll try not to inadvertently bump my own OT thread ;)

RagingBITCH: I think you and I discussed the whole Dallas thing a couple years back... so are you a Colts fan? Or just pointing out the living situation? I am having a hard time finding Dallas fans of the Colts, but I know they are here.

Well, I am Colts fan, but in Indy. I thought eveyone in Dallas hated every other team, but their beloved Cowboys? I hope you find some people to watch it with!

The good news is that Bob Sanders will be playing this weekend. Any predictions for this game? Currently the Colts are underdogs by 4 points I think. If Baltimore's offense doesn't show up there is a good chance the Colts could pull the upset.
