Dallas News: Corrupt Texas cops and prosecutors caught on video

This is a long video but really worth watching. Unbelievable, the prosecutor tells this guy that we do live in a "jack booted" society (term meaning the days of the Nazi era) and that, yes there are many out there who wear badges who are bad and do hurt people, and will set people like this man up on false charges on purpose and there is nothing he would be able to do about it. The prosecutor goes on to say that in Texas it is like the movie "Deliverance" and the police are like the guys in Deliverance (meaning the thugs in the movie).

Here is one follow up on this. Apparently that prosecutor was voted down on renewing his contract with the city due to the youtube video. He is now under current litigation over this. Link to News Source here

The officers were cleared of wrong doing. I swear the people in that city council meeting look like a bunch of old country "bumpkins".

Cops should spend a couple months in jail for their part.

As far as the prosecutor... yeah he acted like a dick in the video taped part, but thats pretty much his job. As far as the audio part, I think he was trying to level with the guy more than lecture. I think he was telling the man the honest truth- and every part of what he said is and has been the truth- to keep him out of real trouble in the future. Probably told him that based off how he watched the guy act in the video.

Sucks the one guy with the balls to tell the truth gets fired. But the cops keep cashing their pay checks.

Electra Police Chief Fired

Big changes are coming to Electra as city commissioners vote to terminate the city's longtime police chief.

There was a wide range of emotions felt by the dozens of Electra residents who were for and against the termination of Johnny Morris.

However Electra's Mayor Curtis Warner says now that the decision has been made, it's time to rebuild its police department and start fresh.

In a four to one vote, Electra's commissioners voted to fire Morris after 11 years of service.

Former Electra police Chief Johnny Morris has field a federal lawsuit against the City of Electra over his recent firing.

the lawsuit sites age discrimination in employment, violation of the Family Medical Leave Act and violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act.
Morris was fired on January 7th, at which time his attorney says he was still on medical leave.
And O'Kelly says while on medical leave Electra officials searched for and located a replacement police chief candidate who was significantly younger.
