I'd be f*&king pissed too. Everytime he does something on his own (well, not really on his own...with this team...but you get my drift); he gets talk about his dad thrown in his face.

I'd pull a Tony Stewart and tell them to STFU already :D

I don't blame him ... it's gotta be painful, if nothing else.

Let Dale Sr. RIP.

Black people are interested in NASCAR? I thought NASCAR was only watched by red neck white trash. Explain this treachery NFS!

I'm tired of people talking about his dad too.....not to mention all the "3" stickers on people's vehicles.

If his father had not been who he was, I wonder if Jr. would even have the opportunity to be driving in NASCAR.

I don't particularly care for NASCAR (at least not as much as I did when Dale Sr. was around), but I do watch it on occassion if there's nothing else on. The Intimidator was my favorite driver (take a look at this thread here on ATOT when he died) and I like Little E.

Its amazing how much value we put on things that in reality have no value at all.

We put a $16million value on some baseball players.

Well I am tired of everybody always talking about Jr. :). NBC's crew is the worst especially Benny Parson. Every 5 seconds its Jr. this, Jr that, I hear Jr. had pizza for dinner lastnight. Its like there isn't anybody else out there racing. Fox isn't anywhere near as bad.

Wow this post pissed me off in a way I can't express.

All the man did was provide entertainment for millions of fans. Also, the "value" that people rally around with the "3" stickers isn't just the sport but a man's LIFE, the most valuable thing of all.

Not only that, but "just" driving up around 180mph and going left is pretty damn hard when you got all these other cars around you doing the same. Try it sometime. I did once and it was HARD... got all this centrifugal force and everything else FIGHTING you at the wheel. MUCH harder to "just go left" than straight-line.

I'm not really big on Nascar, but I knew the name Earnhardt... he was awesome.

Big deal, for most NASCAR fans watching your their ieghbor beat the crap out of his wife in ther trailer next door provided most of them with the same level of entertainment.

I'm not a nascar fan by any means, but I do respect what they do.

How can you put a value on anything? I'm sure there are ways to justify things that you like as worthless and not even worthy of being on this planet. But since YOU do them, they are important to you.

Life is sweet when you can see beyond your own nose.

That is exactly what im talking about. I stand by what i say. The man drove cars fast making left turns, he died doing what he loved. but to put the guy on a fricken pedestal and damn near worship him is over the top.

Why dont you put a sticker of a badge number of a fireman or cop that died on 9-11. Those are true heros they who deserve more honor and recogniton than a car driver in a sport.

Minds are like parachutes, they only work when open.
