Dale was killed on the final lap of the Daytona 500 of what seems to be a head injury. The "Intimidator" deserves a moment of silence for all that he has contributed to the sport of stock car racing. 
Man, I guess all the years of blunt trauma has finally taken it's toll. I just don't get it...he seemed so healthy!!! He wil be missed!
