I didn't know the race was being held in South America for the past few years, but it makes sense when you consider how much of a ****hole Africa really is now (or has been really). South America will have much more varied terrain and conditions anyways. I wonder how they set up the final routes in a manner that doesn't block traffic of Argentinians just trying to do their normal daily thing. Buenos Aires is a pretty populated area.

Yup, after some serious security scares they moved it to south America until/if the conditions improve in Africa.
