Daisy Chaining USB Hubs

Can id be done? I don't have two handy to try it out but just inc ase somebody isn't sure what I mean; it's when you take the plug from the computer, go to one hub and then use of the expanded ports from that hub to attach to another hub. If not, do they sell usb y-splitters? Thanks guys and, btw, happy holidays!

Oh wow, "why not" eh? I was thinking the same thing! See here's the lowdown if anybody wants to know...I have a usb hub in my car so I can plug-in stuff (ie controllers for emu's). Ok...I'll back up the soul train here. Basically, I have a computer in my car to play mp3's and the like with also an in-dash 7" lcd with a soon-to-be-delivered touch screen. It uses a usb connection so I was hoping that I could use a hub hiding behind my car console to power that and this other device that slips my mind and then run a wire to the "exposed" hub for "oohs and ahhs" and also for 4 controllers for emu purposes. Ka-peesh?

edit: the device that slipped my mind is a bluetooth adapter and an infrared adapter so that I can use gprs from my gsm phone to access the net anytime/anywhere I have a cell phone connection! Pretty trick? WHY HELL YEAH IT IS!

And if anybody posts any of that "this thread is worthless w/o pics bs"...so help me....I'll have to buya digicam, because I don't have one and hence don't have pics yet 🙁. Sorry "portable" audiophiles.

Another Q:
(2) I purchased a new mobo that has usb2.0 onboard and I don't have a usb2 hub. Is that needed? Say I have a usb1 hub connected to usb2 and dasiy chain a usb1 hub to it...I take it that this will defeat the purpose (I would have to switch it the other way around. Darn it, incorporating two technologies into something that is hybridic in nature is a sin!
