Daisy Chain?

I have had a Cat5 cable run from one building to another about 500ft for 2 phone lines. I just found that the cable isn't long enough inside the building to run to the office where I need them. I only have Cat6 on hand and AT&T will be here today to terminate. Can I daisy chain Cat5 to Cat6? Or should I postpone AT&T and order another Cat5 run?

If it's just a standard phone line it shouldn't matter. Voice calls don't need a cable rated higher than Cat3.
