The DQ in my town has the worst food I have ever tasted. I have eaten at a few other DQ's and they had much better food, though the ice cream is the same at all of them, good if you like the softfreeze icecream.

Just a FYI:

<< ....though the ice cream is the same at all of them, good if you like the softfreeze icecream. >>

As I've been told by sarcastic dweebs at Dairy Queen, "we serve DQ, not icecream." Same goes for "Milkshakes"...."we server DQ-Shakes, not milk-shakes".

hehehe.....

This promotion is not regional and most DQ`s do there own specials unfortunately for most people this special dosn`t apply to them.
If you like DQ look for the new Macho meals in February for $3.99 in all stores.

Now heres a Hot deal for you... if you come by on Saturday between 11 to 5 pm to the asheville DQ on tunnel road opposite to Wal-Mart I will give you a free ice-cream of your choice if you mention your an Anandtech member ...if that sounds dumb just ask for Mike. Please don`t abuse this deal and I have the right to cancel this promotion blah blah blah (but I won`t cancel unless theres about 10 thousand screaming addicts banging on the door at 11 am
:D)...This should be interesting.

<< Half off the price but double your wasteline >>

yeah but that's true with any fast food place, they compete to make their food better and to do that they just cook it in grease and add to the fat

Actually I worked at DQ for a while (a fast food job is something everyone should experience once). The burgers are cooked on a conveyor belt type thing over a flame broiler kind of thing. The only things cooked in oil are the chicken strips, fish patties, corn dogs, fries, fried chicken patties, and onion rings. Everything else (as far as the 'hot treats') is fairly healthy there. At any rate, if this were in my town I'd say hot deal. :) Bump for a possible hot deal elsewhere.

My DQ did this last year(PA area)
Bought alot of Ice cream(oops DQ sandwiches)
Dilly Dally Bars,and 3 cakes!
Make sure to wrap and keep in paper bags(absorbs ice crystals etc)& freeze!
I'll start looking in my area.
I do remember it was warm when I did this last time.
