DaimlerChrysler Earns $3.3B Net Profit Last Year.

The subtitle "who says domestics aren's selling?" will alone incite a flamewar.

/me gets lawnchair

I don't think anyone said that domestics as a whole weren't selling...just that GM is fuxored 😀

And so...

Ford - Jaguar
GM - Saab

That means no domestics?

Ford makes Mazda pickups.
GM shares the Tercel and Matrix with Toyota
GM uses a Honda engine.
GM's GTO is an Aussie car, the new Malibu an Opel, the Solstice was originally going to share the Vauxall platform, both european.
Chrysler also makes the truck for Mitubishi
GM shares the Grand Vitara platform with Suzuki.

Saab 9-7x
Chevy Trailblazer
Izusu Ascender

...is that one Japanese, one domestic, and one European SUV, or three domestic SUVs?

Domestic vs. import is kinda pointless anymore.

Read the first line in the report posted by the OP. Not MI, thats for sure...

And thats after the big loss by mercedes.

I walked into the wrong room at headquarters the other day and saw a potential car in clay modeling, and thought, holy crap, they really are considering that one? Would be pretty sweet.

Chrysler was the only one out of the big 3 that didn't lose market share in 2005. Now they will have to continue this year and the year after that. We will have to see.

How so? Delphi?

Huge pension problems, huge healthcare, Delphi, supplier problems (my company is a supplier to almost every auto maker), declinging sales, poorly updated product mix, poor overall North American production rates (hours per vehicle).....on....on....on...
