I really like the site. And I appreciate the news feed on the side.
The editors over at DailyTech seem to have a political agenda though... and it really gets to me. Anyone else notice that?

Specifically they keep writing "news" articles about Ethanol. And I don't care what side of the ethanol fence you stand on... these articles are not news. They are political pieces regarding ethanol and ethanol laws.

Is there a way to NOT post those?

I prefer my tech news to be... well... Techie.

Lurker catch!

You may notice that some of the bloggers at DT are more, uh, agenda-driven than others.

I think it's plausible to consider some Ethanol or bio-fuel topics to be tech related, but Ethanol proponents fighting for continued subsidies isn't really tech-related at all.

It's not hard to notice some political or tech slants on the site either. I've seen some Apple-related articles go as far as including snide remarks in parenthesis, and unless you're writing a blog, such things don't belong.

They also have an annoying habit of linking to older articles on the site, and sometimes the news is at least somewhat relevant, but I've seen a few instances where the link doesn't even relate to the anchored text.

I don't like the one sided nature of dailytech news either.

That's why I don't read it.

My favorite is when some story comes out on a Thursday or Friday and I see them reporting on it the following Monday.

Thanks for the like-minded thoughts.
Nice to know I'm not the only one that sees many of DailyTech's articles as off-balance.

Anand's "Pipeline" section is growing... perhaps some day we won't have dailytech there at all. We'll see.
