It varies from bank to bank and payee to payee. For some of my bills my bank cuts a check and mails it, for others it is an electronic transfer. It helps to know this in advance since the electronic transfer ones can be set up to pay the day before the bill is due, but the ones where they mail a check have to be set up further in advance.Originally posted by: Yzzim
How does paying bills online work?
Does the bank send a check to the place the bill is due? Is it just an electronic transfer to the place the bill is due?

Damn straight about the postage. I bought a book of stamps for $7.40 back in late December and I haven't even finished it yet. Now if only my cable and oil companies would get with the program and hook up with this thing called the Internet... I wouldn't have to worry about stamps much if at all...Originally posted by: goodoptics
