Daily greetings. How to respond??

So, someone says "good morning" i respond "good morning".

someone says "How are you?" i respond "Good, how are you?"

somone says "Good Morning, How how are you?"

which should i respond.

"Good thanks, how are you?"

"Good morning, how are you?"

"Good morning, Good thanks, how are you?"

you see my dilemma?? i'm a pretty simple minded linear thinking type guy and i'm not good with these multiple response situations.

Here is a tricky one. This guy at work says it every morning, "What do you say there neighbour". Neighbour????? What exactly is anyone supposed to say to that?

mb, Not much Brah.

If i'm out before I really have time to wake up (about 3 hours after I open my eyes), I usually respond to ANY questions/comments with, "Grrrrrrr" or "Eh" or "No time for love Dr. Jones"

But in your case, a "good, how are you?" is acceptable.
