Used 2000 XK8s with a good amount of miles, ~40-50,000 are going for well under $30k nowadays. Not too shabby for a car that costs over $70k new..

Anyone know how well these hold out for the long run? There aren't many reviews on Edmunds, but most of the ones I've seen give the Jag a 9/10 for reliability..

There is an old saying about Jags, You have to buy 2 so you can drive one while the other is in the shop.

Is this the one with the auto, self leveling suspension? Our friends had problems with that part. Also waiting for the car to level itself out when starting up after parked on your sloped driveway is pretty lame.

I saw a Jaguar dealer ad for the X-Type 2.5, manual, leather, and AWD for $21,995. It must be a really 'basic' model, but I think it's a mistake for Jag/Ford to cheapen the brand.

You don't have to wait, just drive off and the car will take care of itself.

I wouldn't get one. Don't trust em. High maitenance costs. I would get one if they did free maitenance though. It is a very sharp car:)
